Tree Planting PT/TIU

In collaboration with the Directorate of Gardens and Parks Engineering, Tishk International University (TIU) organized a tree planting event within the scope of the Tree Planting Project. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Vice President of TIU, faculty deans and heads of deparmtents, alongside academic staff were also present at the event.

The objective of the project was to develop more green zones in the region, enhance visual and aesthetic qualities in attempt to attract visitors and improve awareness regarding the importance of tree planting. This project provided an opportunity for student engagement and involvement in social community events. The target of the project was to plant trees in different areas and reach as much zones as possible. TIU Campus and all gardens surrounding it.

With a resolute target of planting trees in various locations, including the expansive TIU campus and its surrounding gardens, the event commenced with great enthusiasm. As the sun cast its golden rays, 300 trees were gracefully planted by our dedicated staff and students from diverse departments, including the esteemed Physiotherapy Department, which marked its first participation in this noble endeavour. This initial phase was just the beginning, as the project continues to unfold with future plans to extend the greenery to TIU Dormitory and other key areas.

The Department of Physiotherapy, within the esteemed Applied Science Faculty, demonstrated their unwavering commitment by actively participating in the tree planting project, ensuring the integration of nature within the university campus. Their dedicated efforts serve as a testament to TIU’s enduring mission of fostering a harmonious coexistence with the environment.
