The IT Department at Tishk International University has started online classes to ensure the continuation of the academic program and support SDG 4: Quality Education. Students must activate their Microsoft Teams accounts with help from the IT Unit so classes can begin immediately. Online lectures are held between 09:00 AM and 05:00 PM, and groups may be combined into one session when needed. Practical labs and exams are postponed temporarily, while assignments, quizzes, and reports will be used for student evaluation. Attendance must be recorded daily, and all student handbook rules still apply during online learning. First-year student registration for the spring term has started, and lecturers must complete course materials on time, with additional sessions arranged if necessary. Graduation project supervisors are also required to submit progress reports, including challenges faced during online education. These changes also relate to SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure by encouraging digital learning platforms, and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities by providing flexible learning opportunities for all students. However, IT students are concerned about delayed practical labs, limited hands-on experience, and possible technical issues during online classes.
