Students and faculty members from the Information Technology Department at Tishk International University took part in an educational and scientific field visit on June 9th, 2026, to learn about modern technology and digital transformation.
During the visit, students learned about government digital services, data centers, cybersecurity, and software development. They also gained knowledge about the Kurdistan top-level domain (.krd) and its role in digital identity and online services. The visit helped students understand how technology is used in real-world environments and how IT systems are developed, managed, and secured.
This experience helped students connect their classroom knowledge with practical applications, learn about current technology trends, and explore future career opportunities.
The visit supports SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth by developing students’ practical skills and career awareness, and SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals by promoting cooperation and knowledge exchange between the university and professional organizations.
