The IT Department at Tishk International University held a 1st-grade orientation program on 9 December 2025 in Hall 209 of the main building. The event was organized to welcome new students and introduce them to the department. Mr. Savriddin, the Head of the Department, gave a delightful and informative speech about the IT department, its staff members, and the curriculum. He clearly explained how students will study and what they can expect during their academic journey. After the orientation session, students completed their registration individually.

  IT students from Tishk International University went on a trip to Rawandez on Saturday, 14 December 2025. The trip included students from all grades except Grade 1. They spent a very good time enjoying the natural scenery, group activities, and learning outside the classroom. The trip supported SDG 4: Quality Education by promoting teamwork, social interaction. The students were accompanied by Ms. Aya Sarkawt and Mr. Mohamad Kamal, who guided and supported them throughout the trip, making it a memorable experience for everyone.    

On Tuesday, 2 November, the IT Department proudly participated in the TIU Food Fundraising Event, supporting SDG 1: No Poverty through charitable contributions and community assistance. Over 100 students from the department took part, preparing and managing seven tables featuring a wide selection of traditional Kurdish foods and sweets, aligning with SDG 2: Zero Hunger by helping provide food for a meaningful cause. Throughout the event, our students demonstrated exceptional engagement with TIU staff and visitors, contributing to a welcoming and successful fundraising atmosphere that reflects SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. On Saturday, 29 November, the IT Department organized a hiking trip to Safin Mountain in collaboration with the Nawdaran Hiking Group. The Nawdaran team kindly prepared breakfast and snacks for all participants before the warm-up session. After breakfast, the hike officially began, and students and staff enjoyed a refreshing outdoor experience together. Lunch was served during the trip, followed by several friendly competitions among the students. The students and staff also took many photos and enjoyed the beautiful nature of Kurdistan throughout the journey. Mr. Mohammed Kamal attended the event as the IT Department representative. On 19 November 2025, Miss Rasha presented the topic of syllabus evaluation and ASIIN accreditation to the IT Department in Main Building, Room 209. The meeting aimed to review the current curriculum, identify areas for improvement, and ensure that all academic content aligns with international accreditation standards, supporting quality education (SDG 4) and promoting innovation in IT programs (SDG 9). All members of the IT staff attended and actively participated.
