On May 20th 2025 ,the Medical Analysis Department at the Faculty of Applied Science, Tishk International University (TIU), paid a heartfelt visit to Nanakali Hospital for the second year in a row, aiming to uplift the spirits of children undergoing cancer treatment.

This year’s initiative went beyond raising awarenes. It focused on delivering emotional and material support to young patients through donations, joyful activities, and meaningful gifts. The event was attended by prominent TIU officials, faculty members, and a large number of enthusiastic students, all united in their commitment to compassion and community service.

Among the distinguished attendees were Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of the Board of Trustees; Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi, TIU President; Dr. Hardi Jawad Sabir, Director of Nanakali Cancer Hospital; Prof. Dr. Faiq Hussain, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science; Prof. Dr. Hussien Balisani, Dean of the Faculty of Law; Dr. Tola Faraj, Vice Dean; and the Head of the Medical Analysis Department, joined by Ms. Chnar Akreyi, Ms. Bana Weli, the main organizers and other academic staff and students.

The children were treated to a delightful program that included a live music session, face painting, an enchanting magic show, and the distribution of gift packages tailored for each child, all designed to brighten their day and provide joyful distractions from their medical struggles. The gifts were carefully prepared using funds raised by the Medical Analysis Department’s community.

A significant highlight of the day was the generous donation pledged by Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi, aimed at supporting Nanakali Hospital’s critical needs in diagnostic and treatment supplies for pediatric cancer care.

TIU reaffirmed its ongoing dedication to community-focused initiatives that support vulnerable populations and inspire students to lead with heart and responsibility.
