About IDAAD Exhibition
The Immune Dysregulations: Autoimmune and Autoinflammatory Disorders (IDAAD) Exhibition will mark its First debut on May 18th, 2026. This exhibition will be a yearly series aimed at raising awareness about immune‑mediated diseases. This year’s exhibition features 20 scientific posters covering a wide range of autoimmune and autoinflammatory disorders.
Each year, the exhibition will present a completely new set of posters, focusing on different diseases or emerging topics in immunology. The exhibition explores how the immune system loses its ability to maintain self‑tolerance and controlled inflammation. The initiative is designed to become a permanent educational fixture for the students. This initiative aligns with two Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 3 ” Good Health and Well-Being” and SDG 4 “Quality Education” by promoting awareness within the university campus and encouraging health education among students and staff. The event was mainly organized by Asst. Prof. Dr. Tola Faraj, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science, together with two research assistants from the Medical Analysis Department, Ms. Chnar Hussam and Mr. Tolaz Kadhim.

The exhibition aims to:
- 1
Explain the concept of immune dysregulation and its effect on human health
- 2
Differentiate autoimmune from autoinflammatory disorders based on underlying immune mechanisms
- 3
Explore molecular and cellular pathways involved in disease development
- 4
Highlight clinical signs and diagnostic challenges
- 5
Present recent therapeutic advances, including targeted immunotherapies
- 6
Raise awareness among students and researchers about new trends in immunology
- 7
Encourage research and collaboration in understanding and managing immune‑mediated diseases
