On the 9th of December,2025, Mr. Hallo S Rashid, Head of the Microbiology Unit at Balsam Hospital, presented an enriching and insightful seminar to the Medical Analysis (MEDA) Department at TIU for the 4th stage students. The Seminar was attended by several esteemed guests including the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science, Dr. Tola Faraj and the Coordinator of the Medical Analysis Department, Mr. Soran Kayfi.
During his visit, Mr. Hallo delivered an excellent talk about :
- Updated standards for performing culture and sensitivity testing
- Key findings from the Global Antibiotic Resistance
- Insights from his professional journey in the field of microbiology
- Future career opportunities for Medical Laboratory Science graduates, especially within diagnostic laboratories and microbiology units
