Medical Analysis Students Organize Environmental Awareness and Tree Planting Activity
As part of the Interpersonal Dynamics and Character Building (IDCB) course, students from the Medical Analysis Department organized an Environmental Awareness and Tree Planting Activity at the garden behind Zanyari Apartments under the supervision of Ms. Amani Tahsin. The project was designed to promote environmental conservation, encourage sustainable practices, and contribute to the development of greener community spaces.
During the activity, students prepared the planting area, planted young trees in designated locations, and watered the newly planted trees to support their healthy growth. The participants also engaged in awareness activities to educate community members about the importance of trees in improving environmental quality, reducing pollution, and creating a healthier and more sustainable environment.
The project highlighted the importance of environmental responsibility and demonstrated how individual and collective actions can positively impact the community. Through direct participation in the activity, students gained practical experience in environmental stewardship while developing a greater appreciation for conservation efforts and sustainable development.
The initiative also provided an opportunity for students to strengthen their teamwork, communication, leadership, and organizational skills. By working together to achieve a common goal, participants enhanced their ability to collaborate effectively while contributing to the well-being of the local community.
This activity was aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 13: Climate Action, SDG 15: Life on Land, and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. The project emphasized the importance of environmental awareness, sustainability, community engagement, and responsible citizenship.
At the conclusion of the activity, students gained valuable insights into environmental conservation and the importance of maintaining green spaces. The experience reinforced the role of community initiatives in supporting sustainable development and encouraged participants to continue engaging in activities that contribute to a healthier and greener future.
