As part of the Interpersonal Dynamics and Character Building (IDCB) course, a group of students from the Medical Analysis Department organized a project entitled "Autism Awareness and Child Support Visit to Hana Autism Support Center" on 13.05.2026 at the Hana Autism Center under the supervision of Ms. Amani Tahsin.

The main aim of the project was to raise awareness about children with autism and provide emotional and social support through meaningful interaction and community engagement. Through this activity, students worked together to support children with special needs and promote greater understanding, empathy, and inclusion within the community.

This project was connected to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. The activity emphasized important values such as teamwork, communication, leadership, social responsibility, empathy, sustainability, and community service.

During the visit, students conducted awareness sessions about autism and the importance of supporting children with special needs. They organized interactive activities including drawing, coloring, simple games, and entertainment programs to encourage positive engagement with the children. In addition, students distributed gifts, educational materials, and donations to support the children's daily and educational needs. The participants also spent time interacting with the children and staff, providing emotional support and creating a positive and welcoming environment.

The project encouraged students to apply interpersonal and communication skills in a real-life setting while contributing positively to society. It also strengthened the relationship between the university and the local community through active engagement and service.

At the end of the activity, students gained valuable experience and awareness regarding the challenges faced by children with autism. They enhanced their understanding of social responsibility, inclusion, teamwork, and sustainable development while recognizing the importance of supporting vulnerable groups within the community.
