On 24 February 2026, the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics organized an educational field trip for first-year students to the Kurdistan Youth Hub library, supervised by Ms. Amani Tahsin. The visit offered students a valuable opportunity to familiarize themselves with modern academic resources and expand their research capabilities beyond traditional classroom settings.

During the tour, students explored the library’s extensive collection of scientific literature, digital databases, and quiet study areas designed for collaborative research. Ms. Amani Tahsin guided the students on how to effectively utilize academic references, evaluate peer-reviewed sources, and leverage library technologies to support their ongoing coursework and future studies in nutrition and health sciences.

The field trip underscored the department’s dedication to promoting self-directed learning, academic inquiry, and early engagement with research tools. By introducing first-year students to high-quality learning environments, the visit helped build a strong foundation for their academic journey and professional development in the field of nutrition and dietetics.
