The Medical Analysis Department at Tishk International University (TIU) held a workshop on World Diabetes Day. An opening speech by Dr. Tola FARAJ Head of the Medical Analysis Department, with the presence of the Dean of Science and Nursing Faculties, Dean of Students, academic staffs, research assistants and students at TIU. The purpose of the event was to raise health awareness within the Kurdistan Region community, in order to minimize the negative factors that have direct consequences on increasing the diabetic cases within the population. Specialists from the academic staff of Tishk International University (Mrs. Zhikal O. Khudhur) and Hawler Medical University/College of Medicine (Dr. Niyan J. Mohammad and Dr. Susan A. Farhadi) conducted a series of presentations within the context of diabetes.
TIU’s management concluded the day by awarding certificates of appreciation to all those who participated in the workshop.
