A Visit to Nanakaly Hospital
On January 23rd, 2024, the Head of Medical Analysis Department, Faculty of Applied Sciences at Tishk International University (TIU) Dr. Tola Faraj, along with the Coordinator and the DOS Representative, visited Nanakaly Hospital with the purpose of arranging a workshop and community project to support kids with cancer and raise awareness regarding cancer cases within the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Dr. Hardee J. Sabir, Head of Nanakaly Hospital, received Dr. Tola and discussed the details of the plan with him.
The project aims to support children with cancer and their families, who are facing both physical and emotional challenges. The community project will focus on fundraising for the hospital and providing resources for children with cancer.
Dr. Tola expressed his enthusiasm for the project, emphasizing the importance of raising awareness about cancer to improve rates of early detection and effective treatment. He explained that the project is a joint effort between health professionals, hospitals, and the community and encouraged everyone to participate in the project to achieve its goals.
