October Is All About Pink -Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM)
Starting from Saturday, 1st of October, till Monday, 31st October 2022
𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual worldwide campaign to increase awareness of breast cancer. For this year, a Health-Giving Community Project at the Medical Analysis Department, Faculty of Applied Sciences at Tishk International University has been organized by both Lecturers, (Mr.Goran N.Saleh) and (Ms.Muzhda H.Saber) under the title (EARLY DETECTION SAVES LIVES)
Goal: aiming to spread awareness and to promote regular screening and early detection of breast cancer for both staff and students & to involves as many staff and students as possible in raising awareness and funds to help support life-saving research and life-changing support.
Agenda:
- Spreading Breast Cancer Awareness Brochures, pink ribbons and presenting a pink rose – a symbol of gratitude among staff and students (Main building Entrance).
- Learning students and staff how to perform Breast Self-Examination. Early detection provides the best chance of successful treatment and cure.
