Enhancing Students, Empowering Schools Food Fundraising Event
The Medical Analysis Department, Faculty of Applied Sciences at Tishk International University (TIU) organised a food fundraising event for the Enhancing Students, Empowering Schools Community Project that was held on February 28th, 2024, aimed to improve the condition of dilapidated primary schools and create a better learning experience for the children.
Students from different stages of the Medical Analysis Department participated in the event and brought various types of food, which were sold to raise money.
The fundraiser was attended by the Head of Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi, the Vice President, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science, Prof. Dr. Faiq Hussain and the Head of the Medical Analysis department, Dr. Tola Faraj.
During the event, students worked tirelessly to ensure that the food was sold, and the atmosphere was full of excitement and the spirit of giving back. The fundraiser was successful, and a significant amount of money was raised, which will make a valuable difference in the lives of the primary school students who need it most. In conclusion, the food fundraiser was an excellent opportunity for students to come together and create a positive impact in their community.
