The Medical Analysis Department at Tishk International University organized an awareness seminar for the students, focusing on the environmental and health impacts of single use plastics. The event, held on May 6, 2026, featured a seminar by a department alumna Ms. Shnya Mohammed. The Head of Medical Analysis Department, Dr. Sami Mamand fostered the initiative. Ms. Shnya emphasized on the urgent need to replace disposable plastic water cups with reusable cup holders and refillable water bottles. On the 27th of April 2026, several staff members and students from the Soran Institute visited the Medical Analysis Department at Tishk International University. The aim of the visit was to see the facilities provided by the department, including its laboratories, new instruments, and equipment. The guests were welcomed by the Head of Medical Analysis department Assist. On February, 2026 the first grade students of the Medical Analysis department at Tishk International University visited the laboratory department of the PAR hospital as a part of the Lab Instrument Course. The visit was organized by a lecturer from the medical analysis department at the Tishk international University, Mr. Kovan Faithullah. The students got an overview of how the samples of patients should be conducted in the lab for different units for instance, microbiology, haematology, immunology department. On the 2nd of February,2026, the Medical Analysis Department at Tishk International University organized a  community project  demonstrating its social responsibility through its supporting an Orphanage in Erbil. The community project was attended by several esteemed guests including the President of Tishk International University, Prof. Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi, the Head of Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi, the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science, Prof. Dr. Faiq Hussain, the Vice dean of the Faculty of Applied Science, Assist.
